The course covers the biosphere as a whole and the ecological system, pollution of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, soil and natural components. Among the main tasks of modern global ecology are the study of anthropogenic changes in habitats and the rationale for methods of preserving and improving them for the benefit of humankind. In this connection, it is crucial to forecast changes in the environmental situation in the future and, on this basis, to develop measures for the coming years and for the long term, aimed at preserving and improving the human environment and preventing undesirable changes in the biosphere.
