In this course, students
explore theories and models of second language acquisition. Students learn
about the emotional, social, and intellectual implications of the process of
learning a second language while maintaining the first. They learn to identify
and articulate the role that MFL Education model “foreign language-foreign culture
– personality” plays in learners’ acquisition of a second language. Students
analyze and compare first and second language acquisition and apply strategies
related to MEF Education in an international setting.
