TEACHING ENGLISH THROUGH LITERATURE (Байгунисова Г.И.)

“Teaching English Through Literature” course is dedicated to undergraduates major at "Foreign language: two foreign languages" specialty. The use of fiction and non-fiction in teaching a foreign language is a very effective tool for mastering a language. Literary texts are a source of rich linguistic information, effective incentives for students to express themselves in other languages, and a potential source of motivation. Therefore, the purpose of this course is to teach future teachers of a foreign language to master the methodology of using literary texts in teaching listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.
